Credit Counseling
Required BEFORE filing your petition
- Must be completed within 180 days before filing
- Certificate required — file with your petition
- Approximately 1 hour to complete
Debtor Education
Required AFTER filing, BEFORE discharge
- Must be completed after filing
- Certificate filed with court before discharge
- Approximately 2 hours to complete

Select your state from the dropdown on the USTP site.
Review the listed providers — note which ones offer online courses, your preferred format, and fee waiver availability.
Contact the provider to confirm availability, cost, and certificate delivery.
Complete the course and save your certificate. Upload it to your JustiPal™ Document Vault.
